Talk about a “Lost” Cajun!
Mike was riding around in the mountains of Colorado with his friends, minding his own business, and came across The Lost Cajun® in Pagosa Springs. Wow! As soon as one of the servers put a sample platter of our gumbo’s in front of him and he tasted The Lost Cajun’s® great food, it was on! When Mike asked who the owner was, he was told that it was a franchise. Mike asked where the home office was and was told that it was in Frisco Colorado. He and his buddies just hopped on their Harleys and took a ride to Frisco, Colorado to meet THE Lost Cajun®. Unfortunately, I was out of town that week and Mike called me immediately. Soon after that, I took a trip to Amarillo to meet this crazy guy that was riding his Harley through the mountains and was a 'wannabe' Lost Cajun®! After hearing about the culture at The Lost Cajun® with its courtesy and respect, Mike decided that he wanted to become a REAL Lost Cajun®.
Mike was born in Houston Texas and was in the construction business most of his life building shopping centers and restaurants. In 1991 Mike moved to Amarillo, Texas and was the general manager of a steakhouse for 18 years, then bought a majority of that restaurant, then bought a local breakfast restaurant. Both restaurants are local landmarks and very successful because of the energy and enthusiasm that Mike puts into these restaurants daily.
Mike and I have the same passion for our guests and the restaurant business, and it is very possible he could be a brother from another mother! We are truly blessed to have Mike become part of the The Lost Cajun® family and look forward to many years of success together.
